Note To Self 8: Two out of three…
The idea came to me when I found that the new GPL was being released the same day as the iPhone, and then I wondered what Windows users would have to look forward to. Yes I realize that not all Linux people will be as excited about GPL and Mac people are about iPhone, but the joke works better this way.

sadly for the windows users, it is no joke, my company just bought 20+ laptops for people we do business with and they’re all having to buy new copies of expensive software because vista MADE them upgrade things like Quickbooks, shows the quality of Microsoft these days

there is no reason for josh to be so rude.
It is not hard oto see that M$ fan boys are less likely to purchase an iPhone than Mac users are.
M$ fan boys are more likely to be annoyed by M$:s crippled CPU eating Vista OS while the rest of us thinks it is funny.
And Eh: No offense, but using fancy words does not cover the fact that you are officially lame if you can’t appreciate the funniness of this joke

I think it vital to poke the monster that MS has become; otherwise they will only grow ever fatter and more complacent. I run a PC repair business and spend most of my time repairing MS OS’s. I have had lots of customers come in to buy Xp after only a few days of being saddled with Vista.
Long live Open Source! I run my personal machines on Ubunutu, it rocks!

vista works better than xp though…. im running ultimate on a intel celeron d 3.06gb with 768mb of ram and its working better than xp did.

… now why would you need 768 mb ram, windows xp only needs minimum 256 mb’s, and 1.6 ghz for opt. performance.

yes m$ does suck that much and more. apple is ghey (still loved though.{at least over m$….}) and open source is made of pure win i;m running mandriva, opensuse, Slackware, Gentoo, Kubuntu ,I have allot of computers ^_^. oh, and damn small Linux on some of my slower boxes
but I don’t realy care for gpl-V3 kinda agree with Linus, but still very very funny

I am testing Ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy Gibbon) and I have been really trying to break it. No luck yet. The only time I do a re-start is when the power goes out. Maybe I could install wine and then try to run some microslop and crash it. That might work.
