Note To Self 14: …and ever and ever…

This is based off of the Duke Nukem logo this painting. With the length of development time DNF is slipping into myth. The Bigfoot of the gaming world. I’m almost certain somebody went around at E3 going, “No really, I saw a playable DNF demo! It was kinda blurry, but it’s real!” I was fortunate to find a font that matched the Nukem logo, but found that in this build of Inkscape that perspective was throwing errors so I had to skew each of the letters individually.

I lived in LA in 2000 and was fortunate enough to score a ticket to E3. As I was looking around I ran into someone wearing a DNF T-shirt. I immediately said “I love the shirt, how did you manage to get a hold of one of those!” The man said “Well, I do run the company…”. Realizing I hadn’t even looked at the man, I looked up and it was George Broussard himself! After a couple of questions (and receiving his business card which I still have to this day) I completed my brush with gaming celebrity.
